The Soccer Writers' Association of Ireland was saddened to learn of the passing of long-standing member Leo Dunne on Monday November 23.

Raffaele Cretaro of Sligo Rovers has been named as the Soccer Writers' Association of Ireland Player of the Month for October.
Although he was one of several players controversially rested by manager Paul Cook for the final game of the month against Bohemians, Cretaro had already made his mark in their previous fixtures.
Gary Twigg is the Soccer Writers' Association of Ireland Player of the Month for September.
Bohemians defender Brian Shelley has been named Soccer Writers' Association of Ireland Player of the Month for August.
The 27-year-old collected the award after a fine month during which the Gypsies won five and drew two of their games.
