Candidates from four different clubs make up the six man shortlist for this year's eircom / Soccer Writers' Association of Ireland Personality of the Year Award.
Double-winning Bohemians boss Pat Fenlon has made the final cut along with his skipper and key defender Owen Heary and in-form goalkeeper Brian Murphy.
Owen Heary has been named the eircom/Soccer Writers' Association of Ireland player of the month for September.

A well-attended Annual General Meeting of the Soccer Writers' Association of Ireland took place in the Maples Hotel, Glasnevin on Wednesday October 15. The following officer board was elected: President: Owen Cowzer; Vice-President: Daniel McDonnell; Secretary: Paul O'Hehir; Treasurer: Paul Lennon; International Affairs Officer: Garry Doyle; Domestic Affairs Officer: Paul Buttner; Public Relations Officer: Neil O'Riordan. Following new admissions, the membership of the SWAI stands at almost one hundred.
Gary Deegan has been named the eircom/Soccer Writers' Association of Ireland (SWAI) player of the month for September.
The central midfielder has shone for Pat Fenlon's side in their charge towards the eircom League title and was a strong performer last month as the Gypsies were successful in all five of their outings.
